Join our lab

The newly established Intelligent Transportation Systems Lab (SMART Move) at the University of the Aegean in Syros, aims to advance the way we, and our things, get to places, through innovative technologies, harnessing the power of informatics and robotics.

The lab was founded with two main objectives:

  • to develop tools that improve transportation systems of all kinds,
  • and to train the next generation of professionals in this direction.

SMART Move is one of the few research labs which conduct sea trials of autonomous systems, combining laboratory infrastructure, maritime assets and realistic missions to examine and evaluate technology readiness on the water in real life.
